MAVIN B. MARTIN FUND FOR WOMEN IN THEATRE Mavin B. Martin, familiarly known as Mimi Martin, was a founding Board Member of Actors Theatre and a tireless and passionate proponent of the theatre. Among her many achievements on behalf of Actors, was participating in successful lobbying to name Actors the State Theatre of Kentucky in 1972. Mimi's vision and energy drove her to take a leading role in numerous activities to benefit the Louisville community including the successful renovation in 1978 of the YWCA building, now called the Henry Clay building, changing the direction of the Junior League and serving as chair of the Kentucky Heritage Council. For over 20 years she worked as a counseling professional and was awarded, posthumously, a Ph.D in Clinical Psychology from California’s Fielding Institute.
