DIRECTIONS & PARKING
Actors Theatre is conveniently located in downtown Louisville on Main
Street between Third and Fourth Streets.
Indoor parking is available in the Actors Garage adjacent
to the theatre, with entrances from Main Street and Third Street, and elevators offering
direct access to theatres, Intermezzo and the Box Office.

TRAFFIC FLOW FORECAST
In order to help you plan your visit, Actors Theatre has developed a Traffic Flow Forecast that anticipates traffic flow for the current and upcoming week of performances.

To avoid missing the beginning of the show, please consider leaving early to beat the traffic and enjoying the gallery exhibit or relaxing in our Mezzanine bar prior to the performance.
Traffic Flow Forecast Definitions
Steady - Traffic volume is expected to by typical for downtown given the time of day and day of week.
Increased Volume - Traffic volume may be more than is typical, based on a small number of downtown events due to begin at or near the same time.
Heavy - Traffic may be at a high volume based on a significant number of downtown events due to begin at or near the same time.

2010-2011 Season Discount Theatre Event Parking Prices:
Actors Theatre will provide discounts to all Theatre patrons
attending a performance or event at the Theatre. Please see New Arena Event Parking & Traffic Plan below for anticipated changes in the 2010-2011 season to directions for accessing the Actors Theatre garage.

Directions below are based on routes using major expressways. For directions using surface streets we recommend inputting your address for detailed directions on either Google Maps or Traffic.com.
FROM THE EAST
Driving on I-65 South (to Nashville), I-71 South and I-64 West (to St.
Louis):
Take Third Street exit off I-64 West (Exit 5B). See exit detour below regarding accessing the Actors Theatre garage by going around the block.
I-64 West River Road/Third Street exit detour—for use when Third Street is closed for construction
Remain in the right lane when exiting I-64 via Exit 5, turn right on River Road.
Go 1 block, turn left onto Fourth Street and up the incline
Go 2 blocks, turn left on Market Street
Go 2 blocks, turn left on Second Street
Go 1 block, turn left on Main Street and approach Actors Theatre, ahead 1 block on the left
Enter the Actors Theatre parking garage via the entrance on Third or Main
FROM THE WEST
Driving on I-64 East (to Lexington):
Take Ninth Street/Roy Wilkins Ave. exit (Exit 4) toward downtown. Turn
left onto West Market Street. Turn left onto South Second Street. Turn
left onto West Main Street. At the next light you may go forward and
turn left into the Actors Theatre garage.
FROM THE SOUTH
Driving on I-65 North (to Indianapolis):
Take the Muhammad Ali exit and stay in the right-hand lane, turn right onto Brook Street.
Go
2 blocks, turn left onto Jefferson Street.
Go 2 blocks, turn right onto Second Street.
Go 2 blocks, turn left on Main Street and approach Actors Theatre, ahead 1 block on the left.
Enter the Actors Theatre parking garage via the entrance on Third or Main.
FROM THE NORTH
If driving from New Albany:
See From the West above.
If driving from Jeffersonville:
Take the Second Street bridge, turn right onto Main Street and approach Actors Theatre, ahead 1 block on the left.
Enter the Actors Theatre parking garage via the entrance on Third or Main.
If driving from points further north, driving on I-65 South (to Nashville):
Take the Jefferson Street exit and stay in the far right hand lane.
Go 2 blocks, turn right onto Second Street.
Go 2 blocks, turn left on Main Street and approach Actors Theatre, ahead 1 block on the left.
Enter the Actors Theatre parking garage via the entrance on Third or Main.
CONSTRUCTION ALERT
Due to construction, there will be intermittent closure of Third Street between River Road and Main Street that may create a slight detour for patrons exiting westbound I-64 via the Third Street/River Road exit. Additionally, the construction of streetscape and lighting improvements will create intermittent closure of Second Street between River Road and Main Street. Actors Theatre is working with the Metro Government to ensure that the route is clearly marked for your convenience. Downtown Improvements—New Sidewalks
Sidewalks downtown are currently being upgraded, including those in front of Actors Theatre. You will still be able to access the box office and lobbies via the Actors Theatre garage elevator on Main Street, as well as from street level. If sidewalk construction should block the theatre’s main street level entrances, signs will direct you to alternate entry points.

NEW ARENA EVENT PARKING & TRAFFIC PLAN
Parking: All parking spots in the Actors Theatre Garage will be reserved for Actors Theatre patrons when there are Actors Theatre and Arena events on the same day. Actors Theatre will continue to work with surrounding garages to guarantee parking within an easy walk of the theatre. The theatre has also invested in new technology and additional staff to ensure an easy, efficient experience in the garage. See Discount Theatre Event Parking Prices above.
Two-way Traffic on Main Street: We anticipate that by October 10, when the KFC Yum! Center opens, Main Street between Fourth and Third Street will be changed to
provide for two-way traffic, with the addition of one new eastbound lane which will be added in the
existing parking lane. This will allow patrons to approach the Actors Theatre Garage from Fourth
Street, creating numerous routes to the Theatre. (Main Street is currently westbound only in this

Traffic Updates and Alerts: We will send out performance reminders to all patrons via email the week preceding their scheduled performance. These reminders will alert you to anything that may impact your visit, including event/game conflicts, route suggestions, traffic warnings, etc. In addition, Actors Theatre will post the same alerts to the website (ActorsTheatre.org), and send out traffic updates via its social media outlets, including Twitter (@ATLouisville) and Facebook.
